Members of the community will gather on Sunday 18th September at 7.30pm at Bethel Baptist Church, Sandy Lane, for a vigil on the eve of the funeral of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, to join the people of the United Kingdom in a Moment of Silent Reflection at 8pm, to reflect on the lifetime of service which Her late Majesty devoted to the United Kingdom, the Realms and Territories and to the Commonwealth. Condolence books for the passing of Queen Elizabeth II

Bradford Council have opened condolence books at the following sites across the Bradford District: City Hall, Bradford, Bradford Cathedral, Bingley Area Office (in Bingley Town Hall), Ilkley Town Hall, Keighley Town Hall, and Shipley Town Hall. This weekend the books of condolence will be available between 10am and 8pm. We were hoping to open up Haworth Road at the weekend but unfortunately due to an unforeseen engineering difficulty, which was uncovered on Friday afternoon, we have to delay the opening until this weekend coming. Throughout the remainder of this week we will be working to rectify the engineering problem as well as carrying out final reinstatement /installing cats eyes/white lines along the whole of Haworth Road in readiness to reopen the road.
