Sandy Lane, like all other Parish Councils, form the lowest tier of government, operating within a un-capped Precept distributed by Central Government through the Bradford District Council from the general rate. In addition to providing certain services and facilities the Parish Council is consulted on Planning Applications within its boundary and other matters which relate to the quality of life within the Parish.
